I have seen a ghost. However, I do not believe in them.
Hold up, I'll explain.

I do not believe in the unresting souls of dead people. I do believe that there is some sort of naturally occurring effect that causes the brain to interpret certain stimuli in a particular way. There was an online article that explained that certain noises, if of a low enough frequency, are inaudible yet can fuck with your inner ear in such a way as to create feelings of distress and uncertainty.

I saw what looked like a child. At the same time I was acutely aware that I wasn't actually seeing something physical. It's like my brain was telling me something was there, but my eyes couldn't see it. Imagination and emotional response filled in the rest.
