I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect some of that was English.
Yes, I start a new job on Monday.

I'm also waiting to hear about a tax rebate from my redundancy payment. Exciting stuff.

Is this a new new job?

Yep, technical funding officer for 9 months maternity cover.
It's on the programme I used to work on, but for a different organisation, so I know the stuff inside out. Lot's of hands-on helping grant applicants, which I enjoy.

Ah yes, I think you mentioned this before.
Congratulations. I hope it leads to something more long term.

So do I.
Gives me a bit more breathing space at least. trouble is, in my current line of work (funding) a lot of it has dried up, so there's not much about.

FUCK YOU THEN, DOZER!

alright?
The first 30k of a redundancy payment is tax free. Any excess should be paid in to your pension so as to gain the tax relief.

No, I got a letter at the time of the payment advising me to contact the tax office.
I don't have an IFA.

Not that I have much redundancy left anyway, most of it's gone on living expenses while I was dolescum and paying off a couple of debts.

I'll probably still be out and about until ten.
That's when my last train / bus combo is doable before I have to get a taxi home.
