I was once a guinea pig for a mate who was a hairdressing student, and we came first in the regional heats and third overall in a national hairdressing competition.

At least I got a free haircut and an all expenses paid trip to Blackpool out of it. Although Blackpool was pretty shit as I remember.

Sometimes I wonder...
I think he asked me because I had the whole goth thing going on at the time and he thought he could make a statement with me. There were also some rather attractive beauty therapy students involved, so I wasn't complaining.
