I went to see them at the Portsmouth Guildhall about 1000 years ago

Last thing I saw at Portsmouth was Zodiac Mindwarp - supported for some weird reason by 'The Wonder Stuff'.

Eh? You've done fuck all.

I liked The Wonder Stuff.

They were rubbish live. And a terrible choice of warmup for the mighty ZOD.

Leave it you two.
Monty likes to blow Boris. Al likes The Wonder Stuff feat. Vic Reeves.

Poe-ta-toe. Poe-tar-toe.

They were terrible
I foolishly allowed a friend to persuade me to go and see them when they reformed a few years ago.
To make matters worse, they were supported by Jesus Jones.
Miles Hunt is a dreary moaning old cunt, who kept banging on about wanting 'The Poppies' to reform to complete the set.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2012, 12:16, Reply)
I like you again now.

(, Tue 9 Oct 2012, 12:19, Reply)
I don't know who The Poppies are
but I like a few tunes by Jesus Jones.

Pop Will Eat Itself.
Also shit, apart from their comical cover version of Beaver Patrol.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2012, 12:20, Reply)
They all make me ashamed to be a midlander*
*This is by no means the only reason.

I had their Black Country Chainstore Massacre 12" when it came out. I think it was their first record.
It was, incredibly, shit.

The 'grebo' scene from which they came had a couple of good exponents:
The Janitors and Gaye Bykers on Acid were both excellent, and Crazyhead were a lot better than their shit name might suggest.

Do shut up.

(, Tue 9 Oct 2012, 12:24, Reply)
Right. Sorry.
