Vote for someone else.
The main problem with all politics is that the "swing" as in the people that change their minds from one election to the next is so tiny that politicians can pretty much get away with anything unless they're in a marginal seat.

Yeah, well we blew our chance to change the voting system.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:39, Reply)
we?

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:40, Reply)
Proportional representation still has the same problem.
It's the people that go my parents voted con/lab/lib as did their parents before them that fuck everything up.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:41, Reply)
It's con/lab/lib/ukip/green that fuck everything up by being WTN

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:44, Reply)

I have voted for several someone elses
they never got in. my seat is far from marginal.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:40, Reply)
Well good for you, but there is a problem with voters as the whole not individuals.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:42, Reply)
not really it was a waste of my time and effort
I don't think i'll waste any more of it.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:43, Reply)
Whoever you voted for may have lost their deposit if you didn't vote for them.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:45, Reply)
Oh well, sucks to be them then.

Right, see, that's most people.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:46, Reply)
Thanks - that was my point: vote for someone else.
The thing is, you have to try and at least give them a hard time.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:42, Reply)
yeah, it's done sweet FA so far.
safe labour seat = voted for 3-4 people over the years who weren't labour, still got labour.

cheers this thread has decided me no point wasting the time any more
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 15:45, Reply)
Don't bother then - it's easier not to worry about it.
Where I lived during the last general election went from Lib Dem to Tory, but there were only about 200 votes in it.
