I'm only vaguely here,
trying to write the quiz and can't find the motivation. Stupid fucking pub. Also, sitting here in the knowledge that I could return to my house having a brand new small lake in the downstairs.

Alright Pigsy, alright TD?
A mate of mine got flooded out a few years ago. Not good.
(, Mon 26 Nov 2012, 21:06, Reply)
i just spoke to the lady pig,
she seems to think we'll be safe, so I'm not worried so much now. And looking at the weather reports the rain is dying down near me. Just got to hope there isn't too much more up in the hills to come down.
(, Mon 26 Nov 2012, 21:16, Reply)
It's still absolutely tossing it down here.
I suspect the drive to and from work tomorrow will be fun. Winding country roads + lots of hills and dips + right next to a river = a bit hazardous.

I had a run to the RVI today, it was mentally wet.
Almost biblical, if that kind of comparison is your thing.
(, Mon 26 Nov 2012, 21:24, Reply)
At least you didn't have to negotiate the central motorway.
I heard it was completely submerged.
(, Mon 26 Nov 2012, 21:44, Reply)
Came off the 167 just before the flooding, from what I could tell.
The south-bound on-ramp at the RVI junction was closed and as you can imagine it was all snarled up round the univorsity and such.
They were pulling u-turns on the bridge and pulling out their hair!

Keep your boot hard down
All the cars you see dumped in floods have got that way by dropping power and dragging water back through the exhaust.
(, Mon 26 Nov 2012, 21:27, Reply)
Half the time tonight I couldn't even see the standing water until I was in it.
The drains were pissing water like an incontinent geriatric an' all.
