I think her laptop's a Dell, so it'll be Windows of some description.At least I hope it is, I can make a boot disc.

You ever used Hiren's BootCD?Handy little tool to have, I've found.
Not as much use as a proper boot disc, mind, but still has it's uses (often in backing up)
