Obviously we both have plenty of the former for money reasons but I genuinely don't give a shit if it's a bootleg or whatever as long as the sound quality is good. These people with their temperature controlled rooms who never get their records out let alone play them are tossers.

Obviously original are nice, but as you know, they can be prohibitively expensive, even in poor condition.
There is a lot of guff about the first pressing being of superior quality, especially with 60s stuff, but there are several cases of really shit pressings from that era and the reissues quite often resolve this.

As with all format changes since Edison, there is usually a slight compromise on sound quality over capacity/convenience.

there are many solid state memory devices that are equally effective against the undead.

Otherwise I would have said 'throw hard drives'.

This is why it's impossible to throw one. An MP3 player, yes, but not the actual MP3 itself.
You do realise that the posts above this are discussing the differences between vinyl and MP3? I don't see you telling tangles that you can, in fact, skin up on a solid state drive.
Do you see?

The 'Lost 77 mixes' reissue on 180g vinyl is actually the record they wanted to release. That's one instance where the original is massively inferior to the later product.

There are few things worse than cheap, flimsy vinyl- Battered's face, AW's personality and AA's taste in music.

I googled for 'bankrupt bent pimp' and stumbled across your portfolio, including that wonderful picture above.
