i hate the way that, whichever party is in power, the opposition just disagree with whatever they do
they never say, "actually chaps, that one worked ok".

I also don't see whats wrong with a "u-turn", I'd rather someone say "Hay, this ain't working, lets do something else" than keep on sticking by their guns and making the fuck up worst

That is really annoying
"Hey we tried it, we've reviewed the results, and they weren't what we wanted so we're going to try something else" would be fantastic. Instead it's all "we've staked our reputation on this so we're pressing on regardless" despite the fact that since everybody knows it's not working they've lost face anyway and are just making it worse.

OR they think it is working, because it is working for them. see the politicians who insist that the european union and the euro are working fabulously because they like their lifestyles...
