So, HMV is going down the pan.
So, HMV is going down the pan.I have many happy memories of buying records and tapes in the big HMV in Oxford St. Then dropping down in to Soho to buy some grumble mags. A couple of hours in Foyles in the military section. Ah! shopping ain't what it used to be.
Tell us what was better back in the old days.

There was some speculation on the radio just now that the music and film industry are likely to try to support HMV in some way.
There was some speculation on the radio just now that the music and film industry are likely to try to support HMV in some way.As they would like there to be at least one chain selling their goods on the high st.
But it was also mentioned that in order for economic recovery to take place, there needs to be a clearing out of the dead wood.
Sad times.
I bought my first album from HMV - The Beatles For Sale, on cassette.

Winchester had excellent record shops inc a superb 2nd hand one. No need to head to Southampton for the corporate bollocks experience.
