I'd rather stay somewhere really fancy and have no money for holiday spending, than stay in a B&B and buy loads of tat.

vegas is a good example
i'd rather stay for a few days in a proper posh fancy place and hardly have any cash for the casinos than a week in a 3 star and put it all on red, i think...

cheap doesn't always mean shit
me and the mrs stayed in a beautiful house in majorca, private pool, massive roof terrace an delicious breakfast everyday for about £60/night.
