I've just been speed dating. A surprising number of the ladies were "would" (or if you prefer "wood") and apart from a couple of menkles were all v pleasant. Apparently I go on their website tomorrow and mark the ones I fancy, at which point I suspect they'll want more money from me, but whatever. I booked it while drunk and went because I figured it might be nice to meet some new people, if only for 4 minutes.

you turn up and are given a number
an equivalent number of ladies sit at numbered tables. You start at the same number as you and get 4 minutes with each and a 10 minute break at the halfway point to neck some dutch courage. Once you've been round everyone you hang around for a bit to see if anyone wants to talk some more then slope off sheepishly.
