What's wrong with Samsungs? I thought they were pretty respected TV makers...

I work with TVs, but not on TVs if you see what I mean (we make software that runs on them) and my purely personal, biassed opinion is that samsung make very 'pretty' TVs but that that lack substance and longevity some of the newer one's are better mind so this may no longer be the case.

At that price/size it will inevitably be shit. You might pick up a decent second hard Sony for that money.
