My favourite author is William S Burroughs. He's not on Facebook.

Is he the Naked Lunch guy?

(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 19:47, Reply)
yes.
That's my favourite novel as well.

He's not to everyone's taste though.

novel wankmag
(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 19:50, Reply)
if you wank to Naked Lunch then you're weirder than I thought.

(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 19:51, Reply)
You really don't get strikethroughs do you?

(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 19:55, Reply)
your strikethrough
Would mean that Naked Lunch is my favourite wankmag. Hence me saying that if you were to become aroused by it to the extent that you had to masturbate, then you would be weird.

I'm not sure you understand how pronouns work.

So you consider Naked Lunch to be wankable then? Interesting.

Yawns
You really are WTN

You should try adding CHEERS onto the end of it

You sick fuck.

Last Exit to Brooklyn I could understand, we've all hard a hard on from reading that, but Naked Lunch?

Fucking weird.

You mention books in the thread subject.
Naked Lunch is a book. You referred to it 'jocularly' as a 'wankmag'. I pointed out the silliness of this.

So if the subject of books is 'one nobody cares about', why did you, the OP, in the subject of the thread, mention books? Several other posters here are discussing books. Maybe they are actually discussing something totally unconnected to the thread.

Who knows? I'm pretty sure you don't.

Calm down dear.

(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 20:22, Reply)
I'm perfectly calm.
Just faintly amused.

Don't start the whole 'Steinbeck' thing again

(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 19:53, Reply)
Was there a Steinbeck thing?
I've been to his home town, you know. Salinas, California. And there's a little Steinbeck museum there. Oh yes.

I liked it.

When I started reading for pleasure, at about 18 or soo, I was into army books like McNab, Ryan and a load of one-off real-life types.
Haven't read an army book in many many moons, but I used to like them.
(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 20:34, Reply)
When I was at school there was a guy joined the boarding house who was well into Sven Hassell (sp?)
Ever read any of those?
(, Wed 20 Feb 2013, 20:36, Reply)
Nah', doesn't ring a bell, we're talking just under decade since I read anything like that though, I was only into them for a couple of years.
