Wilfbottm 2000 would be steam powered, naturally, made of wood and brass and using valves in place of transistors. It would exude a comforting, old-world aura of quality and reliability and probably smell of pipe smoke.

I think it should probably have a beard, as research has shown that men with beards are perceived and more trustworthy, perhaps a neatly trimmed Vandyke. A self raising bowler hat might be a nice feature, along with a lexicon of simple phrases recorded on wax cylinder. I think an encyclopaedic understanding of the rules of cricket whould also be useful.

It's entire job would be to be thoroughly British(English)in the traditional sense of the word, at first glance this might seem superfluous, but I reckon it could replace the entire diplomatic service and probably the royal family in one fell swoop. Frankly I think the government should be composed of Wilfbottm's
