(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:30, Reply)

I went to the shop and got one, and a can of Fanta, then I went to the Gym in my car that is not road legal because i really didn't want to get on the bus.
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:31, Reply)
And do you feel better?

(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:32, Reply)

MOT's are for guidance purposes really

(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:33, Reply)
it doesn't even need an MOT as its pre-1960,
but if i'm being totally honest, there is a strong possibility of the suspension in the back collapsing entirely, and the drivers seat falling through the floor if i hit any serious bumps.

Ah is this the rover?
Is it one of those ones with the massive grills?
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:35, Reply)
no, this is the Morris Minor,
the rover is the new car that i will be driving for a few months while i get the minor off the road and welded up
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:36, Reply)
Are you driving dozer's car?

(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:37, Reply)
Ha ha

MOTs are complete bollocks
Something integral to the functioning of the vehicle not working? Not interested.
Tiny lightbulb on the number plate not working? FAIL
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:36, Reply)
MOTs are to make sure your car isn't going to fall apart whilst you're driving it
they have nothing whatsoever to do with the mechanical running of the car. That's your responsibility.

Nice comment from Stunned there.

Complaining about something you know nothing about and then using "I don't know what I'm complaining about"
as your excuse is not clever.
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:53, Reply)
My complaint was more that they have nothing whatsoever to do with the mechanical running of the car.

(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 13:32, Reply)
why would you not check all the bulbs and stuff before taking it to the MOT tester?

if you can't see whether a bulb is working,
i worry about you.
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 12:57, Reply)
He's not a mechanic.
That means he is entirely absolved of all personal responsibility for maintaining his car, or something.
(, Mon 18 Mar 2013, 13:09, Reply)
I did replace some bulbs before my MOT
It didn't help when my car wouldn't start on Tuesday morning.
