You tool.
Did I tell you about my parking tickets?
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 10:49, Reply)
top tip, don't drive off, you'll still get the ticket

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 10:51, Reply)
apart from the warden having to affix the ticket to car that's almost correct, well done
did you think they were studying part time for a photography degree ?
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:04, Reply)
Not true, law was changed a couple of years ago, if they have the photos and are entering it it's too late, FACT

RIGHT I ACCEPT YOUR APOLOGY

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:31, Reply)
I think they can only issue one ticket a day to the same car, though?
So if you get caught, you may as well make the most of it.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:15, Reply)
Did I tell you about the time I drove around between 28th Feb and yesterday without any car tax?

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 10:51, Reply)
Did you get caught?
Can they fine you when you renew it?
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 10:54, Reply)
Nope! Got away with it. Certainly made me glad those speed cameras didn't go off, I'd have been all kinds of fucked
Eighty quid fine if you get caught without tax. An out of date photocard licence is up to a grand, though =/

Didn't get fined on the renewal, either. I shall find out about the photocard later on today...

To be fair, I think the police are the only ones with powers to fine over out of date car stuff. Pretty sure the post office can't do it.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 10:56, Reply)
I thought they automatically sent you a bill when your tax ran out.

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:05, Reply)
they send you reminder letters, it's really easy to do actually. For a governmental thing

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:06, Reply)
Yeah. It went to my old address and when it got sent on, it sat on my back seat for a month.
I'm not very good at performing simple organisational tasks. I'm only getting my licence sorted out this week because of relentless nagging from og.

Couldn't do it online because my address on my licence is wrong. Couldn't update my licence address online because it was due to expire. Couldn't update the licence online because my passport was too old. Leaving my only option of forms and relying on my ability to organise myself.

Which went well.

Nagging eh? Sounds like the sort of thing someones wife would do

(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:10, Reply)
Then when I realised the car tax had run out
I couldn't immediately do anything about it because my insurers had my old address and sent everything there, so I had to call them, update that and print off a proof of insurance AND I had lost my MOT so I had to pay the garage a tenner for a duplicate.
(, Wed 17 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
I went 6 months without an MOT
and they don't backdate it so it was free motoring! BOOM
