It's true that I told Rob we needed a mod here
and offered to do the job.
However, it's also true that I told him it wouldn't matter if it was chompy or anyone else. Just so long as we had someone here to keep the trolls in line.

I think you'll agree I've done a *sterling* job with the tools at my disposal.

haha yeah like you have any tools beyond linking to images haha

Oh, there's plenty of tools here.

Don't we just know it.

Can I gather from your MUSIC CHAT up there ^
that you're a fan of the folk music of olde englande?
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:37, Reply)
I'm well down with the wack-fol-diddle-I-down homies, yo.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:37, Reply)
It's a genre I've had to become intimately familiar with over the last thirteen years.
Against my better judgement, I'm actually starting to rather like it.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:39, Reply)
Basically, you need to get yo'self some Alaisdair Roberts.
That homie kills someone on record they stay dead.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:42, Reply)
Scottish / German mix?
I know someone who would LOVE that shit, yo.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:45, Reply)
Check it

Saw him playing a 13 plus minute version of this at Snape Maltings a few years back. Heavy shit.

I've shown mr b3th a video of him playing Long Lankin.
His verdict is that no-one does it like Maddy Prior, and Roberts guitar picks like Dick Gaughin.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:01, Reply)
His Dad recorded 'Caledonia' with Dougie McClean.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:04, Reply)
Seconding this opinion right here.
We supported him last year and he's a top chap and all.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:47, Reply)
Now.
This is important.

Where do you stand on Kate Rusby?

This question to B3th also.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:51, Reply)
Meh.
Prefer Eliza Carthy

I've met her dad.

I have a mate who looked after her mum when she was in hospital a year or two back.

That's the chap.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:59, Reply)
A FINE woman.
Starting to look distressingly like her mother though.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:55, Reply)
The Watersons are another group that mr b3th likes.
Just last weekend I bought him a remastered CD of old Maddy Prior & some bloke recordings, which went down quite well.

I don't mind the female singers. It's the toneless dirgey blokes I can't stand.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:04, Reply)
There are an awful lot of cunts that just can't fucking sing on the circuit.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:13, Reply)
Hiya!!!

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
I've never stood on her.
She's not really my bag.
Inoffensive enough, but not doing anything new or interesting.
My mum loves her though.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:53, Reply)
Basically anyone that does a duet with Ronan Keating can come off the artistic roll call.
I like Mike Harding but his fascination with her is really quite creepy.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:54, Reply)
He is slowly starting to recognise that there are some decent contemporary folk acts out there.
Rather than a lot of the dull old shit that he tends to favour.
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:59, Reply)
I must confess, I quite like MarK Radcliffe, when he shuts the fuck up a bit and plays stuff.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:00, Reply)
It's a bit of a departure for him, as he usually does banter based radio.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:08, Reply)
STOP

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)

carry on
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
I liked it when he got hit on the knee

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:59, Reply)
You should buy my album as well then.

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:48, Reply)

you're pretty innocous as a mod, apart from posting personal details about me
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:33, Reply)

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:33, Reply)
NO REAL NAMES PLEASE

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:34, Reply)
Is that why you call me bethany?
Because you know it's not my real name?
(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:35, Reply)

(, Tue 23 Apr 2013, 10:38, Reply)
