My kid told me mummy's friend Craig stayed in her room
and when we were leaving her flat I saw his name come up on her phone before she answered it and was all 'yeah she'll be gone in a minute'. Also my kid told me that mummy had told her that if Ben gets angry they may have to move.

Oof.
That is not good.
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:11, Reply)
No it really isn't.

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:12, Reply)
If she gets chucked out of the house maybe she'll move in with you and then it'll be like a sitcom.

*shudders*

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:15, Reply)
How the piss has she got custody if she can't even keep her legs together enough to maintain a roof over your kids head?

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:15, Reply)
She's a decent mother really, just a frightful human being in all other regards

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:17, Reply)
Like my ex wife then.

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:12, Reply)
Yup, my kid's behaviour is suffering already

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:14, Reply)
derailleur?

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:15, Reply)
Are you going to talk to your ex about it?

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:15, Reply)
I don't think it's my place to do so.
I can talk about the kid's behaviour but her relationships are none of my business really.
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:16, Reply)
Perhaps if this is positioned as
'It's not my business and don't want to get involved, but I'm concerned about the impact on my kid. I'm not going to say anything to [current bf] but where would you take her if he chucked you out?'
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:18, Reply)

You can read about why they're passing the buck.

The more involved you are, the more likely she'll be to lash out at you when it all goes tits up for her.
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:23, Reply)
Make it 100% about your daughter's wellbeing.
Mummy bringing home a new boyfriend regularly is something you might have to talk to your kid about separately if it's affecting her behaviour.
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:22, Reply)
Yep, and you don't want to go back to the way it was.

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:18, Reply)
Depends, if it's going to result in your daughter being chucked out of her home I think you've got a right to voice your concerns about that.

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:18, Reply)
^ This ^

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:21, Reply)
It's a tough call
especially as she's being OK with me for the first time in 5 years and I really don't want to jeopardise that
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:21, Reply)

to jeopardise that her to beat the shit out of me again

tee hee
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:22, Reply)
tee - but also, hee.

(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:23, Reply)
Document and record conversations if need be.
She can't get the arse on if you're just trying to make sure your kid is alright.
(, Tue 7 May 2013, 11:24, Reply)
She could get the arse on about literally anything.
