The real stuff is illegal as it contains wormwood which drives you menkle. You can't get it any more, what you have there is a foul-tasting waki drink marketed as absinthe when it patently isn't.

The fella there said it had been banned in France, but not here. You're not likely to find much of the French absinthe as a result, the real stuff these days is mostly the white Swiss absinthe.
