I'm hoping to snatch a last minute victory from the jaws of despair, like last year.
Any word on your contract?
(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:26, Reply)
Well fingers crossed.
Was the application today for another contract or a perm role?
(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:27, Reply)
Permanent, some adult education place.
Pay not fantastic, but if it keeps the wolf from the door until such time as something more in my line comes along, I'm not bothered.

LinkedIn providing any leads for you?

Not as such.
Had a bloke ask if i was interested in doing some freelance business mentoring stuff, but that's not really my background; I'm more on the side of helping people to get funding.

Are you still doing the Great North Run?

(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:11, Reply)
As previously publicised I have had to withdraw due to busting my foot and subsequently cutting the cast off before it was healed.

Shame. I'd have come up and we could have gone to Middlesbrough for a free curry.

(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:14, Reply)
Re your curry article in the other thread...
I was in a curry house near tower bridge about 6 years ago. Two blokes did a runner without paying the bill. One left his rucksack under the table and came back for it ten minutes later, just in time for the police to arrive. Very funny at the time.

Lau's Buffet in Newcastle has a wall of shame for people who did runners
People are proud to be on it.

Same as the metro Loser List for people caught without a ticket :(
(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:22, Reply)
Not been to Lau's buffet for yonks.
To be fair, doing a runner from there is the equivalent of shoplifting from Lidl.
(, Wed 5 Jun 2013, 19:28, Reply)
I always preferred Ho's
All the sauce in Lau's was pure gelatin.
