Completely unnecessary for the most part. We fix most stuff over the phone.

The best advice is to be nice to your IT people. We're used to everybody hating us so tend to adopt a fuck you attitude. Be nice, bring us sweeties. You'll be surprised how quickly stuff gets fixed if we like you.

Basically, I'm advocating bribery and corruption.
