So property eh?
Like where you are?
Hate it?
Want to do stuff to it but can't?
Or is it not important to you where you live?

I don't care a fucking jolt. Just needed an excuse for an evening thread.

I absolutely love living here.
I've no desire to be anywhere else but tough shizzle eh. In an ideal world I'd move to one of the two beds in the same block. It's only bricks and mortar but as I've achieved fuck all else bar my lovely missus and my kid in my life it fucking hurts to admit defeat. Boo hoo, shut up etc.
(, Wed 10 Jul 2013, 19:59, Reply)
As we have discussed. You (admittedly lifestyle dependent to an extent) have enough years yet to work your way in to somewhere you really like.
I know what it's like, what with the divorce I'm starting again in a number of ways, including property. You're 40, not 60. Plenty of time. Although it does feel shit.
(, Wed 10 Jul 2013, 20:06, Reply)
also
there are currently two pricks dining al fresco in the courtyard, wooden chopsticks, champagne flutes etc. There's rubble everywhere due to works. Tossers.

I have a great house
It was a tactical buy looking to milk the new redevelopment plans in my fair city, fucking crash of 2008 it should be worth 7 times the value I paid :(
(, Wed 10 Jul 2013, 20:11, Reply)
Are in you in negative equity*?
* stupid expression. I mean do you owe more on it than its current value?
(, Wed 10 Jul 2013, 20:13, Reply)
Nahh.... far from it, it's still worth twice as much as I paid for it.
1880's Victorian town house three floors and a cellar..... it just pissed me off that that I moved here as part of a master plan

Mine is 1920
But build is very much Edwardian.

Where did you expect the price to go, and why?
(, Wed 10 Jul 2013, 20:24, Reply)

There may be a station at Hipperholme before Low Moor.

It looks amazing. After five years in there he'd be lucky to get what he paid for it. Poor sod.

I have seen a house two doors from me converted to a 5 bed. with two en-suites
cost the owner 67K and put only 17K on the property value.... he asked for my advice numerous times and completely ignored the plain common sense I told him at the time.

It's like refurbishing old cars and selling them on.

There's a profit motive but it's also a sense of achievement.

Bought this one as a do-up and sell
When I bought it the kitchen had fallen into the cellar and virtually all the ground floor joists were rotten to some extent.

I was looking at a few years work and profit but I can't sell. I've learned to love this house and it's now the HQ of the TD empire.
