Best year for me was any one of 1989-92
The closing years of the free festivals and the early years of rave were fucking BRILLIANT.

I cannot put into words how fucking great that shit was.

Ironically it was the free rave scene which finally did for the festivals.
A farmer can just about put up with a 4-hr Hawkwind set, but 6 days of techno with no downtime was never going to be sustainable.
