I am both excited about and dreading this film.
One the one hand, this 3000 fellow seems alright and if Experience Hendrix have approved it, the quality should be good and at least the soundtrack will be good and not bad cover versions.

On the other, modern films are all gash and the estate may have insisited on a sanitised/no controversy film which would be shit.

Same as why Sacha Baron Cohen just walked out on the Freddie Mercury biopic
He wanted to do warts and all, the other Queen members wanted a fluffeh version.

Yeah I read about that
They wanted a film about the life of their promiscuous, drug-crazed singer who died of AIDS to be a PG. Errrrm.....

“The fact is that many people would prefer it if Freddie hadn’t been gay."

There's more than enough fluffeh documentaries about him already
The whole thing smells of a milking attempt tbh. Same as how loads of their back catalogue is still priced at £17 a CD in HMV.

Brian May et al have been raping poor old Freddie's corpse for the last 20 years.

In all fairness here, it should be pointed out that the Boring Bassist had the good grace to retire after the tribute concert in '93.
