A friend of mine put on a festival a few years back, dedicated to local legend Delia Derbyshire.
One of the people involved went round to see her old house and was invited in by the current owner, who then proceeded to hand over a load of Delia's old stuff - school reports, ration book, gas mask, etc. - that he had found in the loft when he moved in.

You may have heard her work on the Dr Who theme, for example.
Basically all the cool sounding shit on any BBC sci-fi programme from the 60s-80s was made by her and her colleagues.
She was very cool.
