She's somehow found out I've spent £2.2k on a sofa. Judge might not like that...

You going full on court settlement?
In which case, claim half the house.

Or at the very least make her realise how fucking lucky she is that you're not!

Nah. Micro's domestic stability is key. Ain't touching even any beneficial interest on the place that may be due. Given there is no mortgage it means micro will always have a roof over her head.

But she could have two of them.
If she downsized and you bought somewhere.

Or are you concerned that doing that will encourage her to fuck off north of the border?

Your ex wife will need very little from you then

As she would if she lived with you and not someone who expects her parents and her ex to give her a living
I'm not disputing what you're saying at all, but she should realise that 99% of people wouldn't agree to what you are agreeing to accept.

You need a sofa. Who's to say what's reasonable?

Ask them whether they'd prefer your flat was a death trap for when micro visits.

Ask the solicitor - don't make yourself miserable speculating
If he thinks it's a problem, then listen. Personally I'd be surprised if a reasonable/cheap hotel were any sort of a problem. You're divorcing, not dying, and a court would see that.
