Breeds are not species.

but surely a blue footed booby and a red footed booby are the same species?
badger????

anyway, being different species never stopped lions and tigers, or horses and donkeys, or your mother and father, did it? so THERE.

Lions and tigers, horses and donkeys, dogs and wolves etc are not different species.

and your parents?
anyway, wiki says you are WRONG. lions and tigers are the same genus, but different species.

surely this must also apply to boobies. the fucking things are identical, apart from their feet.

Also not different species.
Basically, if those birds aren't breeding, then they probably can't breed. This makes them a different species. Boobies have about half a dozen different species.

Different SUB-species.
Actually, you're right with Lions and Tigers. They can breed but it's very difficult. That one's a bit of a grey definition.

i know you are getting all this from google and wikipedia.....

Specifics, yes.
Although the distinction between a species and a breed isn't exactly difficult to grasp.
(, Fri 16 Aug 2013, 11:51, Reply)
Well, duh. Of course it's difficult
have you ever tried to fuck a tiger? You'd be lucky to get out with your clothes intact.

Thats right...
You have to get the sugar coated breakfast cereal out first... then you can hammer away

I'm not a taxinomy specialist, sweetie.
But it would appear that Boobys are the genus and Red-footed, Blue-footed (and Masked, Brown and Peruvian for that matter) are all different species, so yes they can't breed.

pffft. Masked Boobys. arf.
