I'm a little upset that Chompy won't be here to explain
how he's cooking Christmas lunch for his family because he doesn't think they're worth buying presents for and how this is totally ok and they really love him and how thoughtful he is.

but if it were my kid, I'd be pretty put out unless there were some serious extenuating circumstances. Helping with Christmas lunch should be expected unless, like my mum, the head cook fucking hates having people in the kitchen with her.
