Yes, I've been on strike
No longer a member of a union for several reasons - one of which is the 'Animal farm' type conversion of one firebrand union official to self-serving cunt (MP) that I've seen first-hand. The unions shouldn't be vilified as they are but the politicians made a pretty good propaganda job of turning unions into bogeymen.
Alt: Just running/leisurewear.
Altalt: Bacon sandwich with a big mug of tea

Quick ninja edit - Bacon and EGG sandwich!

Bacon butty soundss good. And MUG instead of cup gets my vote. Fucking cups.

I have a MUG of tea.
It's green tea though, so I'm not as working class and manly as I appear.

Green tea is good stuff. I have my tea without milk and sugar, these are for wimps.
Have you tried the lamon and green tea mix, think it' s Twinings? Luvly jubbly.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:01, Reply)
My mug of tea may be a tad less butch than it sounds
I buy a blend of tea which is (supposedly) optimised for the local water. I have to say it's stonking stuff but I do add milk.

I don't really like normal tea, and was drinking too much coffee so went with the green tea.
I think I shall investigate other flavours.

Like "mince" or "pout"?

NO LAD BANTER

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:12, Reply)
First you have to be a lad, green tea boy
Then you can have lad banter

But I said 'NO'
No means no, rapey rapist.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:23, Reply)
Green tea is a valid tea chubster.
Are you still fat?
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:27, Reply)
Green tea is good stuff, but...
...mostly I feel the need for a good strong cuppa the colour of freshly-mixed plaster that stains the mug after just one use.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:29, Reply)
Did you agree with the strike, or go along with it because of the vote?

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:17, Reply)
Absolutely agreed with the strike

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:19, Reply)
Some of the unions did it themselves
See the tubes and Christmas. Let's ruin people's Christmases and damage the economy on a vital day for retail because getting triple time during a recession isn't enough for some people...
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:22, Reply)
See, you *say* that, but all I hear is
'wah wah waaaaaaaah!'
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:25, Reply)
'See the tubes and Christmas. Let's ruin people's Christmases and damage the economy on a vital day for retail'...
Alternatively...
Let's get maximum coverage and make the maximum impact for the minimum time out. It's all about tactics. Why strike on the slowest day of the year? What impact would that have?
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:26, Reply)
That' s where the miners fucked it.
Winter strike and a proper vote, they could have fucked the thing; I still have respect for Arthur though.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:30, Reply)
It could be argued that it was their employers that did this, not the unions.
But there is little point in you and I going over this again.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 8:55, Reply)
they are lucky to have well paid jobs in decent working conditions in the current economy
that is all
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:23, Reply)
Just as the girl in the 'slut boots' was lucky not to get raped by a taxi driver.

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:27, Reply)
this is a daft argument even for a leftie

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:34, Reply)
It's rory's argument, not mine.

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:39, Reply)
yes but he didn't mean it
whereas you clearly believe every last letter of it, obv.
(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:40, Reply)
I mean every single word I say on here.

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:42, Reply)
Apart from that one, obv.

(, Tue 1 Oct 2013, 9:42, Reply)
