Im gonna go ahead and agree with stunned.
But thanks man, it's a huge relief to be honest. Was getting a bit desperate.

Edit: I feel the opposite, always felt middle class, despite shit school, manual job, blah blah. Think it's because my father hates northerners.

tbf, in the UK one traditional measure of your class was what your parents did/earnt.
But it can be measured in many different ways and I am sure Northern professionals are allowed to be called middle class.

The only exceptions to the new rules.

Glad a few standards exist.

Have you settled which job you are going to take?

Yeah, after doing a bit of maths, the lower paid more local one,
Actually turns out to leave me better off. Taking in to account insuring the car for business as the higher paid one has no van included, and the cheeky cunts only offered 17p a mile.
So yeah, I'll be based around Oxford, Bucks, Berks, Wiltshire, bit of North London.

Sweet, dude. Congrats.
When does the cash start rolling in?

I have to say, you've impressively re-trained and changed career in 4 months. Fucking good effort.

Rubbishes arguments that there is no work.

Yeah, my expectations at the start of this,
and where I've ended up showed a little naivety on my part. It was HH that steered me in the direction of where I've ended up, and also I guess acceptance of a slightly lower salary and the knowledge that i'm going to have to prove myself from scratch in this industry. But yeah, there is work, but it's more competitive. I spent hours on my covering letters, and it was those that got the companies to take a punt on interviewing someone with 0 experience.
It's not the job i wanted when i started this whole thing, but it's a route to it, and in a couple of years, I'll be well away.

And in the meantime sociable hours and weekends off.

(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 8:27, Reply)
yeah, exactly,
there will be a little bit of evening stuff, but with overtime pay, and the odd weekend away for big contracts, but it's definitely a wild improvement for me and ladypig.

make driving to and from jobs a bit nicer out in the country.
