I will disagree with you on this one.
You're a bit like my other half. he doesn't see the point in films that last over an hour and a half.

"If you can't get your story across in that time, it's probably not worth telling"

He prefers books. Not sure if this is irony.

Depending on the film, it's more about character development and attachment so you feel something for them.
