Typically, a large company that isn't doing well (for one or more reasons) brings people like me in to sort it out.
Typically, a large company that isn't doing well (for one or more reasons) brings people like me in to sort it out.The problems could be anything, from how the company sells, how it is structured & operates, how & what it advertises, how the company is financed etc. the objective being to make the business profitable (or more profitable than it previously was).

Had a good meeting this morning with one of the big 4 consulting firms, who are looking to advise a group of lenders on a £100mil acquisition.& may want me to help with the pitch to the potential lenders.

Also involved with another potential acquisition (as a consultant, not an investor) of a retail chain, subject to due diligence on the company.
These are bigger things than I have done to date.
