Hello dear B3TANs, I know we're all on the glidepath down to Xmas but I have a serious question
I have had in the last weeks, several companies recontact me after I've quoted them for equipment months ago, telling me they've 'got the go-ahead' and 'can we supply before Xmas'. In fact, 'no need to actually supply, just make sure we have an invoice before then'.
My question is, why? In large corporations do the Xmas money goblins steal the cash if you haven't spent it by a certain date? Does it evaporate from the corporate account on 25th Dec? I realise there are budgets etc but where do they think the money will escape to? If there are any B3TANs with accountancy knowledge - please enlighten me.

Not heard of that at Xmas
end of March (financial year end), certainly, but not Xmas.
Unless all the accountants go on holiday for 3 weeks at this time and thus no-one can get any spending authorised?
alt: been too mild, wait while next week maybe.

Maybe budget reviews happen in the new year
To be applied at financial year end? Dunno.

I agree that there may be reviews at certain dates but...
...The money doesn't evaporate, it's still in existence so why isn't it carried over?

Do a 'sleeps until Xmas' thread, for Christ sake, before we all die due to over exposure to the drab and mundane.

We had snow the other week a 10 minute flurry which I missed. A pparently it wasn't very good.
I'm eating a selection box for breakfast Crunchie and Buttons so far.
