Speed awareness course done
Now to get ready for client event. I reckon bob crow owes me £75 in cab fares and about 4 hours of wasted time, including missing a pleasant lunch with my best mate and her baby. I'm sure the RMT will happily cover these losses, as they have said that they are so very keen not to distress or inconvenience people.

How much would the speeding fine have been?

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:00, Reply)
£20 less.

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:00, Reply)
£100
But I'd paid for the course long before they spat their dummies. So I'd have had to fork out another £100 to pay the fine

Balls.
The fine is less than the course.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:03, Reply)
I thought they were both about £100, but I might be misremembering
I was doing 86 in a 70, frankly I'm lucky the course was an option!
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:03, Reply)
Yes you are.
I got pinged for 37 in a 30.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:06, Reply)
% wise that's about as bad......

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:10, Reply)
I'd rather get hit by a car doing 37 than 86.

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:15, Reply)
You're not people.
How was the course?
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:00, Reply)
It was ok actually
They had some personality and I had my best mate next to me. Frog had bought some nice chocolate which we sneaked in there, that helped to pass the time nicely
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:02, Reply)
I couldn't listen to the whole "speed kills" shit. We were all "light" speeders. Otherwise you couldn't attend the course.
Plus, the instructor started by explaining she was dyslexic. Personally, I feel teachers should be able to read and write.

Where was yours? We did Ealing

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:10, Reply)
Streatham or somesuch.

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:13, Reply)
Are you aware of speed now?
This strike will be costing them if so.
I love how British the public have been, queueing outside the fucking stations. Just walk!!
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 14:02, Reply)
I'd happily walk 12 miles in the sunshine in appropriate clothes
NOT in freezing rain in my work clothes, however!
