Did he not shout "who is there", warn "I have a gun"? CHECK ON HER FIRST?!

Any other person would have gently woke their partner, told them to be quiet and warned them there may be an intruder.

i think we can't understand how much it might affect your perceptions, growing up in SA as opposed to the UK
