We should absolutely adapt a more continental look at work.
I'd do four days of 12 hour shifts for 4 days off.

Four 9-hour shifts one week
Followed by three nine-hour shifts and one ten-hour shift the next week. That would still average out at 37.5 hours/week. I'd happily give up half of my lunch break to be home earlier, also, I'd like the opportunity to do flexitime.
Unfortunately I have to actually travel to see customers so that's not going to happen any time soon.

It's as much of a shock to me when they actually do want to see me.
I'd much rather they just signed the big cheques and fucked off. Unfortunately they seen to want 'service' and 'technical backup' and 'faith in the competence of their chosen reseller' before they'll part with £200k+. Some people are just picky I guess.
