It's ok, Nakers!
Turns out it wasn't a job I applied for, they were coming to me. Totes a relief, though the "er, so which job was this one? I applied to a few" "um...you didn't, we approached you" conversation was a bit awkward.

What were they offering IT drone work or something else?

(, Fri 16 May 2014, 14:20, Reply)
Mostly IT drone
but it's with some meeja company, so there'll be all cool software to learn. Plus it's more hands on, so I'll be doing more crimping and terminating, which is much more up my street than holding the hand of some mental cripple whilst they try to grasp how to copy/paste

Met a contractor last night who used to contract here
he's now working for a company in Oxford Street that are something to do with Music royalties.

He's changing a field on hundreds of forms from 9 characters long to 11 characters long. He begged us to kill him.

It's an architectural high point of the brutalist movement
(, Fri 16 May 2014, 14:25, Reply)
We embraced brutalism in a big way after the Germans taught us that Medieval architecture was easily knocked down.

(, Fri 16 May 2014, 14:28, Reply)
And we all wish they'd come back

(, Fri 16 May 2014, 14:29, Reply)
