It all seems a bit disjointed this evening
so here's the welcome mat to draw in the stragglers of the weekend.

Photobucket

I've spent most of the afternoon asleep or dosing in front of House M.D and still feel tired now, so not sure how much I'll be posting on here. Feel less like shit though and have the hungries, so will endeavour to make food in a bit.

How is everyone?

Hurrah
I was just thinking about doing that.
How are you feeling now Becks?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:37, Reply)
Evenin' Becks!
I'm feeling a little better too... Just forced some food down, hoping that'll perk me up a bit!

Just saw your new pic on facebook, liking the blondeness!

EDIT: HELLOOOO, Liveinabin!
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:38, Reply)
Hey becks
Glad you're up and about again.
*hug*

My tattoo is at the itchy as buggery stage and slightly scabby stage. Trying not to think about it.

*edit*
and the blonde looks fine!
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:39, Reply)
Oh Becks and DiT
have some biscuits from earlier to help you get over the poorlies.

@DiT
I got some geometric polynesian on the inside of my forearm. Need to put get some batteries for my camera or I would post a pic. Looks really good though.
It's my first for some six years and I've got the old addiction back.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:42, Reply)
Excellent!
I'm still looking to get a big polynesian mask on my leg, and a half sleeve on my right arm!

'Allo, ancrenne! I dunno what's up with me, but I am beginning to feel rejuvinated!
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:45, Reply)
I can imagine that
if I turn up to a bash without biscuits there will be a lynching.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:45, Reply)
Sounds good
Think my next project may be 3 or 4 smaller polynesian masks up the outside of my forearm gradually over a few months.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:47, Reply)
Fucking hell
I go away to write a couple of gazzes and you're all here now :)

*hugs everyone and tries not to spread whatever lurgy she has*

*fails*

Feeling a lot better than I was earlier thanks, but think my addiction to House might take over again. It's just sooooo good.

All the better for seeing my b3ta chums of course
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 20:55, Reply)
Lo Ethelred
I'm trying to work out if I can afford to come to your minibash as I anticipate being skint for the foreseeable future and wont be going b3ta camping. Will have to say for definite closer to the time, but signs point to yay.

Who else thinks cheese on toast would be a bad idea considering I puked this morning? Other feeding options being toast, lasagne or bread?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:00, Reply)
@Ethelred
I'm good thanks.
Got all week off work for a chill out. Went into town for a bit, pottered around on here and made a lully cassarole

@becky
Unsurprisingly I vote for lasagne.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:03, Reply)
When I was a lad
my mum would feed me steamed fish when I was sick.

Which probably isn't an option for you, Becky.

My sister, on the other hand, used to get toast and jam when she was sick. This was fine, as I like fish, and she doesn't; also I think toast should only have savoury toppings.

But apparently toast and jam (or toast on jam, as we'd say up here) is sick-safe food.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:04, Reply)
not sure
Cheese would be a good idea at first. Try toast then go from there?

Thats ok Becks, I'll save you a drink :)
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:05, Reply)
evening all!
*snogs*

How are we?

I've missed you today. I've been a busy tulip. But I did get a pay-rise, so consider this an invitation to slurp b3tafizz with me.

*pours b3tafizz for all*

edit@becky - this is utterly sick-safe fizz poppet. and here, have some dry toast as well.

*guzzles*
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:06, Reply)
Porage
Or Porridge.
Either way only made with Scotts Porage Oats.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:07, Reply)
hey hlt!
*returns snoggage*

Good day then?

*sips B3tafizz*
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:07, Reply)
Ooh I forgot I was told by rabbit sitting neighbour
that coca cola can be good for settling the stomach. *clinks b3tafizz*

It's years since I last had dry toast, but will give it a try and see what happens...yay science in action ,)

Edit: Feeeesh? Have you any idea of how expensive fish is now K2k6? I have none anyway and not lumbering down to the shops as I cant be arsed. I think I have some jam, but don't really fancy it.

Edit2: Fabulousness HLT, what you gonna spend it on?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:09, Reply)
much congrats
tulip :)

Irn Bru works for me.
And in my case it's the patriotic option. History records that William Wallace himself guzzled a caseful before the Battle of Stirling.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:11, Reply)
Hello !
Can't stop too long as I have my youngest sister stopping over tonight.

@Becky - flat lemonade is best for poorly stomach. 7-up or sprite would do.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:11, Reply)
Yes, fish is expensive
but I like it. It's a quirk of modern fish raising methods that salmon can cost less than haddock. But it's still not cheap.

I didn't expect you to have any in the fridge, Becky. It's not the sort of thing one keeps just in case!

Edit - Evening and congrats, Miss Tulip!

You've caught me on a boring night I'm afraid.

@tulip
Yay, Leeds. Was thinking some time in October.

And bye!
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 21:28, Reply)
Hmm...one bite of dry toast
was enough to convince me that it's evil and chewy. So I put the tiniest bit of soya butter on it and so far nothing has come up. Gone for flat coke as it's all I have right now and then I'm back on the water again.

Night HLT xx

Ning Al and Ancrenne and everyone else who I've missed this evening *hugs all*

Wearing?
Nothing.

Actually, that's a lie. It's too cold for that. Certain parts of my anatomy would be non-pendulous...

Night, HLT. 'twas but a brief visit this evening.

I went to two pubs in Southampton, as it turned out...

I didn't see you there, were you polishing your CPUs or something?

Evenin' TGB, how're you doing? Have fun with the car-fest?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 22:32, Reply)
T'was very nice thanks :)
Have driven over 400 miles (in a Marina that's the equivalent of 800 normal miles) this weekend though so very sleepy now!

I was nosing through the bash pics though so now I know what you all look like mwahahahaha

Computers - bah! A short-lived fad of the late 20th and early 21st century. (Keep your AV uptodate and your OS patched folks)

Lots of Pubs in Soton - must have missed you.

The first car i remember my folks having was a marina! GUD 161S - Or maybe that was the Maxi?

Astons still out of my price range but a whole new range of Jags are getting cheaper by the day.

Sleepy, bath, bed, snore-time, soon, ......

Sorry, I couldn't come out to play, Ancrenne. 'nother day.

Evening all
I'm just back from getting a back massage from a friend, which was useful since my back got monumentally ruined at work today by lifting a huge amount of wood up some stairs and into the store room. What fun.

In better news, I found out that I haven't taken enough holidays this summer, so am getting paid holidays for two weeks in a couple of weeks time. Then I leave. SWEET!

How are we all? Good to see you made it back safely Ancrenne and Kaol.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:05, Reply)
ARARRRRGGGHHHHH!
I want a bath but its already being used by a big spider!

Ever had one of those days?
Sod it. Sod it all.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:12, Reply)
Scared of spiders?
You need a Zoologist *coughs* or Ms. A's cat.
Both will eat spiders.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:13, Reply)
No-one needs a zoologist Kaol
And you know it. Have fun travelling at the weekend?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:16, Reply)
The travelling wasn't great
But the doing stuff once I got places was excellent.

Back to work in the morning, my body is telling me to go to bed, my brain is telling me to drink.

Sounds excellent about your two weeks off! Anything planned?
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:19, Reply)
Grrrr!
Obviously, as a full-grown strapping fine-figure of a man, I'm not _afraid_ of spiders. I maintain a healthy wariness about them.

Was about to throw it out the window but the light bulb has just blown. It is simply not my day. I give up. G'night.
(, Tue 26 Aug 2008, 23:19, Reply)
Sounds like everyone is well
Not just free holidays - PAID holidays, which I don't have to go back after, which is grand. I have no real plans, apart from just moving more stuff up to my flat. I considered using the time to buy a piano and get better at it again, but probably won't.

Hoorah for my back feeling better. It's amazing.

I've discovered the best form of exercise ever, ever, ever, or at least the most enjoyable: dancing to shit 90s pop with the curtains closed. *continues to dance to the Backstreet Boys while waving goodbye to any musical credibility she may have had*

I plan to enjoy
Just got to work another 5 days first, and play at another ceilidh.

And with that, I shall go and rest. Night all.

@ ancrenne
Glad to amuse :) I'm now swaying to the Grease soundtrack and in a way enjoying the last few weeks when I can do this before I live with Mr Maladicta and he mocks me mercilessly before locking himself in the living room with the PS2 and Guitar Hero.

Time for bed for me.

Catch you people-shaped creatures tomorrow.

Ooooh!
I, too, have been hopelessly addicted to House, and spent all weekend watching it after downloading it, before my pc went all wanky and forced me to go to HMV on Monday and buy (yes, buy!) seasons Two and Three for £20 each.

Woo for me!

Oh, and does anyone else read "ETW" as Fuck The World, as opposed to For The Win?
