You say that with a sigh, yet you had an overwhelming feeling of self worth.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:29, Reply)
After years in IT support, I have no self worth left at all.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:30, Reply)
we know. You tell us every day.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:32, Reply)
Then I have to question why you decided to contradict the scads of evidence.

Why won't adblocker stop them?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:30, Reply)
Because those adblocker programmes only work with Javascript.
No Javascript adverts, no blockage.
(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:31, Reply)

I've just added this to adblock:

static.usvsth3m.com/js/*

I get a nice shiny white box at the top of the page now.

^Follow this man's example.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:33, Reply)
Hang on, who is this man, first?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:36, Reply)
I agree

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:37, Reply)
How do I add it to adblock?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:35, Reply)
gaffer tape

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:36, Reply)

Well for me it was:

click on AdBlock Edge icon, select "open blockable items"
in the new pane at the bottom of the screen, find "static.usvsth3m..." and double click on the line.
click "add filter" at the bottom, it defaults to the block pattern that I mentioned.
(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:38, Reply)
how do i do adblock?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:40, Reply)
Use Chrome and get Adblock Plus as an extension for free
I've just done it now and it took about 2 mins
(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:43, Reply)
how long should the extension be?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:44, Reply)
30m

Have you been lurking all this time, waiting for this opportunity to present itself?

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:45, Reply)

It was the reason I was created. All those long years of training, reading Rory vs Swipe until my eyes bled...

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:32, Reply)

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:33, Reply)
Fun fact.
Windows has an inbuilt system to allow remote access from anywhere. You enable it, give me your machine deets, I can log in.

At least, it was there in XP. Haven't bothered looking in later versions.
(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:33, Reply)
Oh God, I remember that

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:35, Reply)
it's a tiny advert, hardly seem worth the bother

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:35, Reply)
I have a PACT COFFEE logo thats taking up about 70% of my b3ta screen

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:36, Reply)

See below. The 'hide adverts' option in your profile now works.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:46, Reply)
TBH I needed an excuse to move b3ta to Chrome

It's distracting.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:39, Reply)
Cr3 has now amended the code so changing the option in your profile works to remove the adverts. Then just clear your cache & they're gone.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:44, Reply)
No, it's ok. No need for thanks.

(, Wed 2 Jul 2014, 12:44, Reply)
