Went to a friend's wedding earlier in the year.
It was proper budget stuff - held in a Travelodge or something, everyone asked to bring a bottle, Mrs V and I were asked to bring a few CDs of tunes, invite was just a photocopied note ... it appeared to be really shoddily done. I'm not saying expensive = great, but it did seem to have little thought for the guests and more thought of money-saving put into it. It was held on a Sunday, and we were expecting to make our excuses at about 3pm. It turned out it was actually a jolly good laugh and fun was had by all, and we both had to pull sickies the next day to recover.

Expecting greatness and it being shit: getting to a new level on a computer game.

Alt: yer. I'll go now.

No, it sounds good
People are supposed to enjoy weddings, not just marvel at how much they cost

That was our thought, but it turned out it really was the company that was important.
It was a really good laugh.

I wonder how much people enjoyed their £100k jaunt across the Forth Bridge.
