come on in b3ta shoppers!
as you may know I'm doing up my bathroom
I need a mirror but haven't been able to find a nice one that fits my criteria.
If you can help I'd be grateful
It needs to be wall-mounted, no wider than 50cm
I'm after something with either no frame, a black frame or an oak frame. preferrably stylish. a cool etching on part of it would be ok.
give me your suggestions!

When you say no wider than 50cm
I assume you mean the measurements of the frame rather than the glass?
Might want to be careful if you buy online: At the furniture shop I used to work in mirror measurements were taken from the glass size rather than the frame. Not sure if that's an industry norm or if there is any sort of industry norm.
I'd like to think you'd be given measurements for both frame and glass myself.

Go to an antique store or
charity shop. You will have to shop around a bit, but you'll find much nicer original mirrors than you would in a regular store.

Habitat
had some really cool mirrors last time I was in there. Check out their website - they have this:

becky
there are a couple of good places near here, but I'm after something fairly modern looking, or possibly art deco if it's not too fussy (geometric designs might be nice)
I guess it is worth a look
don't want to spend too much also, which is the real clincher. the bathroom has already cost a fucking packet

^this :edit: Nope, Becky's post.
Mirrors are a pain to stock as they're quite slow moving - You never have the right size/style/colour.
You'll probably have to shop around quite a lot for one you like in the right size.
Have you thought about getting a mirror custom made? I'd be shocked if you can't find somewhere to do that for you. If there's not I might have to think about starting something up as there must be a market for it.
:edit again: Cost almost certainly rules the above idea out.

custom made is always best
but there's the price issue. plus, I don't know exactly what I want.
I'm the sort of person who has a vague idea, or a design in mind and I definitely know it when I see it.
makes it hard to get bespoke stuff!

Charity shops
Second hand furniture shops.
Those kinda places.
Even if you have to give 'em a bit of a clean up, it'll be very cheap.
Other than that, work out the exact size you want, find a glass-cutters, kinda place that you can get new bits of window cut to size.
They'll do you a cheap plain bit o' mirror.

If you're near West London
The Old Cinema in Chiswick always has some pretty good Deco stuff including mirrors.

If memory serves your an Exeter lad
Try looking in the Range down by exe bridges. You have to hunt around a bit but the prices are normally good.
