I disagree.
Although modern autos are good. Nothing beats proper driving. If you're commuting, fair enough, but you can't take an auto out for a blast around country roads properly.

But I've driven cars just as fancy on country roads. Automatic gives you less control of speed and acceleration. Simple.

I had an astra that was surprisingly good at this.
Especially given that pressing the brakes or changing gear at speed used to invoke a game of 'guess which direction I'm going to try and veer towards'.
