Happy B3ta Birthday, Vipros!
I saw the little candle thing when I logged on here at some ungodly hour last night.

Sounds like you're in for another fun day in your bathroom...
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 11:26, Reply)
laying the floor should be fine
I've done one before, and we are using vinyl tiles that are very easy to work with

time for breakfast though!

Morning all
Happy B3ta birthday Vipros.

Quite amazingly I am hangover free this morning although have managed to lose £20! Grrr.

Might upload holiday snaps onto faecebook and think about the pressing question of where to go to lunch.

I know the feeling - stayed sober yesterday as I was driving. Weird. Make the most of a rare Sunday morning!

Uuuurrggghhh
Haggis night led to watching 'Death Sentence' starring Kevin 'Honest, I've never had plastic surgery' Bacon, a bottle of rum and so forth.....

I feel a smidge fraggle this morning.

Hey Ho, I've done the shopping and am about to unleash bacon, scrambled eggs, 'shrooms and potato cakes on the clan. Not sure I can face eating any of it myself, mind you.

Happy B3taday Vipros!
I've been up for ages but running around madly before the Grand Prix starts :p

Had fun at the tip and picked up my washing from my mums (because I don't have a washing machine and I'm too poor to buy one or use a laundrette)

I'm feeling sorry for myself
And obliterating myself with cider.
Evil BK made an appearance last night, a character I thought I'd long put to bed. Miss K wasn't impressed and has gone home to consider whether she wants to be with me.

The Black Dog appeared for no reason yesterday afternoon, then I got very drunk, really jealous when another bloke talked to her and then headbutted a concrete wall.

Her mum's bipolar, she doesn't need a mad boyf too.

I'm such a twat. Sorry for the self pity, I'm a sobbing wreck today.

*edit* Happy B3taday Vipros!

Amazingly I was awake (and not hungover) this morning in time to see the start of the grand prix.

Going to rewrite my CV at some point today - Not looking forward to that really.

it's a bit wet and pathetic here today.
My name's not from a song, a few people have asked me that actually. I chose my name as that's the way I was feeling when I signed up. Desperate to get out and do something, it was either that or itchy feet...Doesn't quite have the same ring to it though.
Urgh I need to get away and do something with my life. Once everything's sorted out with my job I plan on fucking them over and buggering off somewhere exciting!

remember, if you are taking someone out to see a play outdoors, it helps to know exactly where the play is :/

and it rained and was cold, boooo.

still it was all cool in the end, and the play was good.

One of my biggest regrets is not having gone travelling.

@halfy
Was it Taming of the Shrew you went to see? I think you mentioned it yesterday.

@bk
I plan to. I just need to get a few things sorted with work first. It's all ending up being a bit of a head fuck if I'm honest :(
Hopefully it'll work out soon!
I just need to find somewhere to go. It looks like I can't get a visa for Canada as I didn't go to university. Sometimes I really regret leaving school at 14.

I think they're just trying to keep the riff raff out!
I'm pretty sure I can work around it, I have Canadian family and stuff and I'm very nice and smiley.

Oh halfy.
There are days young man when I feel old beyond my years. My back clicks, I look at policemen and think how young all of them are, I notice how rubbish kids TV is now and I love listening to Radio 4 and making soup.

I think I should stay up all night at one of those discos the young ones are always talking about and see if I can still hack it.

@clendrix. I'll bring a blanket and make us tea and cakes for after!

Nings all
My dad's really not well, so I've spent most of yesterday with my parents shouting at nurses - not proud of it, but it got results...then last night got a bit drunk in Covent Garden with a fellow b3tan type. Today I've been shopping for lightbulbs as both the landing ones have blown, so it's been fun time navigating the stairs in pitch black.

evening folks
you'll be pleased to hear I've spent the day on hands and knees, but I've now finished laying the floor in my bathroom.

it has no door unfortunately (the bathroom, not the floor. floors don't normally have doors), but that is a minor issue.

the niceness and cool colours in the bathroom make it look like you are looking into a different house when looking from landing into bathroom...

ps: the weather here is glorious :-P

I've just written my magnum opus post
which explains my state of mind for the last few months as this is an ongoing thing. Not posted for sympathy, just as a general rant about fucking ineptitude of people and lack of communication at an important time fucks me off.

I has a dvd date this evening, so I'm off to eat and make myself look a bit more human than I do now.

Vikings...
OMFG.

Just spent the weekend in Denmark with Tess and her parents and brother and sister.

Her parents are fabulous; funny, intelligent, blonde (like yours truly) and love their family and have two dogs (golden retrievers).

Tess has a brother who's an economics lecturer who's the same age as me (cue: discussion over Sunday lunch of the effects of the US in the global economic cock-up that we're currently experiencing); she also has a sister who's a nurse and is almost as attractive as her.

The family live in the suburbs of Copenhagen and have a lake nearby and are within 8km of the Baltic.

In the interests of wish-fulfilment I suspect that I'd really rather like to find an opportunity to go live and work in Denmark.

Suspect I may be tumbling in a generally love-wards direction but I'll be damn-sure I won't be telling her!

Also: am now walking on air.
Also(2): I'm not writing this under duress; she's not here.
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 22:09, Reply)

Was 6-4 in the 4th. Murray played like a demon. First win over Nadal, and he's beaten Federer. But then again being Scottish he's not allowed to win anything big!

In the Robin's Well I see
Been thrown out of that place several times. Lived in or around leamington since 1993, aside from university and some time in South America.

Was back a few weeks ago and was shocked to see how much the nightclubs have improved. Sugar now being Smack and all..
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:21, Reply)
How do you get thrown out the Well?!
The nightclubs have improved!? I must have missed that....
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:23, Reply)
It
was when I was 17... we'd been to Ocean's, Satchwells, the vodka bar place opposite boots (the name escapes me) and I ended up falling down the stairs to the toilets in the Well. The bouncers didnt like it so I got thrown out.

Yeah the clubs seem to have got a lot better. Mirage/Evolve seems to have improved a lot, same with Sugar/Smack. Its good to see Rios is still as unbearably crap as it always was. I once saw a guy pick a fight with his own reflection in the mirror on the downstairs dancefloor. Must've been christmas eve or new years about 3 years ago.

Happy days.
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:27, Reply)
The Vodka bar
Was just called V Bar, but was on Regent Street the next one down from Boots. It did change it's name to something after but I forget what and it's a restaurant now.

I can imagine the bouncers not liking under-age people in there.

Ocean was a dive though although back in the good ole days when you ordered a "fishbowl" you get an actual round fishbowl fill of cocktail, not the rubbish big glasses they have now :(
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:31, Reply)
Ah
yes. V-bar. They did something called a gas chamber which really screwed you up. And I remember the fish bowls.

Oceans is shit. I have also been thrown out of there.

And the White Horse.

Erm. And willoughbys.

Erm... and Vialis.
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:33, Reply)
Vialis?!
Did you throw chips at the wrong people?

I think they have bouncers there now. I was always more of a Dinos/Bodrums kinda gal... Mainly because we would go into Dinos order a pizza to be delivered and then climb in the car with the guy for a cheap taxi ride home :)
(, Sun 7 Sep 2008, 23:36, Reply)
Yeah
Viali's was interesting... a friend of mine dumped his girlfriend just after getting her to pay for his kebab. Classy I know. She ended up attempting to assault him with donor meat and I was somehow caught up in the ensuing melee and got thrown out.

Bodrums.... only been there twice... Halikarnas is the way forward.
