Got dumped at Christmas, once.
Bad at the time, good in the long run!

Fuck no do we wait until lunchtime. That sounds like the sort of bent rule some upwardly mobile lower middle class family would institute due to some made up "etiquette" taken from some misunderstood article in Good Housekeeping.

Around the Kroney manor, it's done at around 11 before cook gets stroppy that we're not eating her croissants.

With child, its santas presents first thing. food, cook lunch with a few cheeky drinks, tree presents, tire out child till shes asleep. get drunk around 6-7pm
without child. Bucks fizz breakfast. shitfaced drunk by 3, someone else cooks. couldnt give a shite about presents

I tend to get up at 7 and take the dog for a walk,

wait around for a couple of hours drinking coffee while before sending dog up to jump on the missus.

more coffee and waiting till she manages to drag her carcass downstairs,

open a few presents (normally the ones from friends and family)

off to pub in village around 1pm where most of the village rock up for a couple of hours drinking

Back home to start the food and open presents from each other

eat

watch shit telly for a couple of hours trying not to fall asleep, making crude comments about how its Christmas so backdoors should be allowed.

Fall asleep without fulfilling any level of congress
