I came back to Croydon once after staying with friends in Hove, the first thing I saw stepping out at the station was a group of pigeons eating a puddle of vomit. The next group of pigeons were clustered around the remains of a KFC, that's a bit cannibally I think. That's Croydon for you though eh!

The local pub in my hometown
got demolished after it failed. Then the company that was supposed to build on it got in trouble for knocking down a listed bit. Now it's a field. I can now look at it and say 'I remember when all this was pub'.
