but shot up way too quickly, then died.

not quite a death, but a nasty injury - when i was a trainee working in insurance litigation, we had a chap who was claiming against his employer because he'd been injured on a building site. the workmen had been too lazy to carry the equipment down the stairs, had roped off an area, and chucked it out of the window. he had ignored the ropes (contrib neg) and been hit on the head by the equipment. the irony was that it was safety equipment, a canvas intended to protect any workers who fell off whilst working high up...
