Some of my friends worked for the facilities team at halls.
Apparently someone pegs it in their room nearly every year, it's usually cleaned up quite quietly.

Also someone recently tried to top themselves off Union St bridge but it's only about 3 stories high so they just bost their legs.

The student tradition here is the go to the harbour wall, strip naked and jump in to the sea.
Every single year someone jumps without checking if the tide is in and breaks one or both legs. One year a lass broke her thigh and bone marrow got in her bloodstream. This killed her.

What Ben Hardwick wouldn't have given for that!

Lol!

Hang on! That doesn't work!

No not really. But bone marrow does support the production of lymphocytes that are the immune system.
That then reject transplanted livers.

Nah, still don't work.

There's a similar one here involving the Bridge of Don.
I also went to University with a seemingly not very good geology student who broke bones injuring himself falling off some rocks believing there to be gold up there. He was on the local news.

Yup, never makes the news
We only find out because the generic "counselling is available for those that need it" email that goes around.

Yeah most deaths don't get reported on the news

In sleepy old Cornwall most unusual, unexpected or non natural causes deaths make the local news for one reason or another

And yet some bloke getting bitten by his dog gets on the front page, what a world eh
