On the top-right of the page is the 'Friends' Activity' button, click that, and then you have the option of viewing what your friends have posted, or adding new friends.

May be a stupid question
But while the process of adding friends is fairly straightforward, how does b3ta work out if someone's your fan? My guess is that it's cataloguing people who have clicked a lot of one's posts...am I on the right lines?

If you add somebody as a friend
You become their 'fan', if they add you as a friend too you'll both be friends, and fans of each other.
