don't know if you recall, but the summary is this:

have worked for a high-profile billionaire for 10 years. he is cool- would not have stayed if it were otherwise. the other people at my (small) company are my family. good place, for many a year.

BUT: was promoted to management level (went for the money) and new upper managmement is in charge now. they seek to change things, get more 'corporate.' I can't play this game, and have pushed back at them.

result: was made to sign a memo stating that if my performance does not improve within 30 days, I might get the sack. so what did I do? go on holiday to Europe of course. fuck these cunts.

if they sack me, I have cards to play. when I signed on, there were no non-disclosure agreements in place. ethically I would never betray the big boss (he has no idea this is going on, to be sure), but I will get a fair amount out of them for this alone. plus I'm sure would get severance.

really could not care less. the sooner they let me go, the sooner I can get out of Amerika.

mostly admin shit, but big boss likes my financial instincts
too bad they don't extend to saving my money!

actually, it will all be fine. after working at such a level, high-confidentiality, finance, coordinating charter flights, helicopters, etc., I can walk into a good-paying job with ease.

only I'm looking to change careers. but have lots of options, and good people to help. it will all come around ok.
